Thanksgiving is also about Family but neither of us have Family here so to speak of (Her oldest Son has his own Family and will celebrating with them and my worthless POS step son will be here with us! For years we cooked and slaved in the kitchen for just 2 people or 4 if my Son and G/friend came but he now lives i AZ so wont be joining us. We then used to go to a fancy restaurant overlooking Mission Bay to eat for many years and got tired of that so back to cooking again! Cooking again but much less complicated. The Wife works 72 hour a week so the last thing I want to see her do is bust her ass off to cook! 5 or 6 hours to cook.......a couple more to clean up! NO more of that BS

The list of chemical ingredients on those read like a supply list for a meth lab Don't ask don't tell I liked food better before they were legally required to post how many calories were in it in bold print on the front of the packaging. If I really cared I would read the fine print on the back.

I needed to get my ears lowered today. So while I was out I stopped at on of my favorite lunch joints, a place called Nick & Jakes for a Bookie.

Saturday nights dinner.... On the way home from work the Wife stopped at Costco (which quite convenient as its basically 2 minutes from us) and picked up a small The works Costco pizza! OMG........ I had never had one before and have to say.......it was the best pizza I have ever eaten! Deep dish and layered and STUFFED with tons of goodies and a huge amount of cheese. The crust was thick which I dont usually care for as 98% of the time its so hard I cant chew it but this crust altho thick almost melted in your mouth! Screw Papa Johns etc and our regular place as from now on when I want pizza,,,,,,,,this is what I'll order! BTW.......This was a small which easily fed two people and the large was only $10.00 I can barely buy 2 burgers for that price! Just in case this wasnt enough she also bought a frozen Chicken Ziti with enormous pieces of chicken breast cut into nice strips!

So, today was my lucky day. My nephew and his family decided to have me over for Thanksgiving. We had a standing prime rib roast, cheesy taters, button mushrooms in a wine broth, broccoli, rolls and desert for which there was no room. And then the kids attacked!!
