... not a watch, just a "SEIKO". Saw this on YJ and had to have it. NOS item from the '60s. Letters are ~1.5 inches tall.

I don't usually get excited by merchandising but this is really cool in it's own right, a lucky find for sure. Is it rare? valuable? what's it made of? thunbsup.gif

what's it made of? thunbsup.gif I am curious, too! Plastic? Steel? Aluminum? The description wasn't great. From google translate: -- 50 ~ 60s metal Seiko logo display curiosities dead not for sale It is a type SEIKO is falling apart. It is making very solid made of metal. It is the size, but about 30 mm width, height of about 36mm depth "S" It is a thing rare that in people not get hand over even if I asked the shopkeeper but I was giving up on special this time. Because it had been a safe place to shop for a long time there is no significant scratches and dirt. It is a very beautiful state. It is the rare one article that can not be seen first in the future.-- 'dead' is a translation from old stock. I don't know what the "is falling apart" is about.
-- Re: Rare? I haven't seen one before or since, but I haven't been at this as long as many here. I found it searching for NOS items on YJ. R: Valuable? It went for around the price of a Spork. -- I'll necro the thread with details when the set arrives.

'Falling apart' could mean that it comes in separate pieces
