Sorry if this has been covered, but knocked out by this: Amazed theyve collaborated with Giugiaro and used the old style cues. Edit: And there's more:

I like the layout of the dial and it's three sub dials. But the bracelet and the way the head offsets is a big turn off to me.

supposedly released on the 19th July each colour limited to 500, there's an ebay seller listing them at £303 each, seems reasonable.
Very similar to the old Aliens model, of course a Giugiaro design too, but obviously with a modern movement
Listed as SCED001/003/005/007/009/011.
First new Bullheads, now these, what next?

Without the history of the watch and it's design you'd probably find most of us moaning about the asymmetric design. Using the classic Aliens colourways is a winner though. It's like when Nike release classic sneakers, i'm surprised it's taken this long for Seiko to realise there's gold in their hills.

I'm pulling this out my ass, but I have a feeling Seiko is going to completely surprise and amaze us with a new classicly styled diver. I just have a feeling.

I can't see how the offset dial to the 3 o'clock side can possibly wear comfortably. It would push the bracelet up the left arm towards the elbow, or in the case of a lefty, the crown would be digging in big time.
So, I don't get it, and also - I don't like the look.
I say 'no' the whole concept. But I do like the dial itself !

Hahaha Spencer! I am genuinely shocked myself! Buying all 6 might be a little bit of a stretch? Really hoping this is a strategy from Seiko, even if they just do limited runs. They'll sell out easily i'm sure.

I'm pulling this out my ass, but I have a feeling Seiko is going to completely surprise and amaze us with a new classicly styled diver. I just have a feeling. If they took the time to reissue the bullhead (sort of) and now to reissue a LE series based on the Bishop, anything is possible. I mean, someone at Seiko had to have noticed that there are not one but two 6309 tribute models out there. I mean, a 6309-704x style watch would really be something... but how could they beat the original design? The one thing with these that I don't get - what is the rationale for coming out with a LE issue of something they would have had to create an entire line to make? Why go through all that trouble to produce a lousy 3000 watches?

I am floored!
Im hoping its bigger than the original?
This is a very interesting development. I've gotta agree that a new version of the 6309 or 6105 is a real possibility!
I will dream well tonight !

Sorry, not my cup of wine.
I would love to see new 6309 models, and also Automatic Bullheads, then reproduction of SBCM023 line, etc...
IMHO...

Unfortunately, a reissued diver would probably be a quartz watch, like the new bullheads.
Seiko should really understand the enthusiast community better - a slam dunk automatic could just crush the margins of their quartz releases.

Imagine if they used one of the new gen movements with hacking & handwinding... Imagine if they got the styling cues correct Imagine if they were selling for starting MSRP of >$500 but actually selling for 40-60% of that via Amazon etc like the 007s/009s etc ...wow.

Seiko is not looking to go high end on their retro homages. The bullhead homage is quartz, not auto, and the LE bishops are moderately priced for a small batch release.
If they did a 6105 or 6309, my guess is they would use the 4R36 auto. This would be very true to the originals...solid auto movement, but not expensive.

That's what I was thinking Spencer. What if Seiko produced their equivalent of a Dagaz Tsunami?
