I didn't need it but negotiated a $205 sale. They had $149.00 or best offer. I offered $175. They countered with $235. I came back with in the middle with $205. They accepted.
6139-6012 Resist/Resist from June 1972. Works, nice shape, I have a crystal and Uncle Seiko railroad bracelet. Top pusher looks a little stuck. Probably gunked up. A quick cleanup and throw it into the rotation. I have spare parts in the boneyard. Service it down the road.

This should be on the way. One of our members here helped to hook me up with it. The owner's "for parts if necessary" example. I hear the owner's first string example is stunning.

Add a new 6139-6032 as dead stock for 47 years old ,due to storage There is such a small wound... Fire up the Flux Capacitor! How did you go back in time? That condition is insane.

Yet another 7009-8210 which make 12 or 13 now....Anyway anyone hazard a guess as to who the guy in the dial is. This is the sellers pic. I'll try for better when I get a chance. Well loved watch for sure has got LOTSA play in the correct bracelet and seconds hand is from something else...

Anyway anyone hazard a guess as to who the guy in the dial is. Well it has an Arabic day wheel so my guess is someone Middle Eastern. Given the lack of free expression there I would venture to guess that it would only honor a member of a ruling family or the President at the time of whatever country it came from. Given the age of the watch it's someone from the 1970's. It's not Anwar Sadat of Egypt cause he was bald on top. Doesn't look like a royal family guy cause they dress in the pajama garb with the Lawrence of Arabia head thing in formal pictures. Gamal Abdel Nasser died in 1970. Maybe it's him? Or I think he looks more sinister like Hafez al-Assad of Syria who ruled from 1970 until 2000. Hair part is on the correct side, looks like a Middle Eastern mustache, massive forehead, receding hairline, and fits the time frame. So my guess is Hafez al-Assad. Elementary my dear Watson, elementary.
