IMO (and the IMO part is imperative) I like keeping the original mineral/acrylic look on dressy pieces, but on tool watches I would rather have the durability of an AM sapphire replacement. Of course, others may feel differently. Nice find! I too prefer a beat-up/worn-out bezel on a vintage diver. Gives it character. I have one of Spencer's AM hardlex crystals on mine. After perhaps 4 years there are no nociable scratches on it. I don't wear my watches hard though. That one will clean up nicely. Appreciate it Gents, look forward to getting this in and sorting it out.

We have been lucky, I run out of funds for this month and decided to not bid on this one.

Not immediately but it does look to have the wrong facetted crystal fitted π€ the original is like the case, asymmetrical and pretty much unique to that reference. They come up so rarely though that I had to have a go for it, fingers crossed!

While it's only a sample not a runner, I'd been holding out for a stainless version without luck, was outbid (sniped) on a runner a while back so I'm settling for now. 7009-3169 for the NO$9 collection. IF and that is big and bold IF all my researching is accurate I will be just 2 examples away from having collected all 7009's made for the North American Market. Sellers Pic

The first of this month's Yahoo purchases arrived this morning, these 5 plus the one that's gone straight on my wrist (see the WRUW thread): Three arrived ticking, three not. Changing the batteries gave me 5 ticking and one twitching which isn't bad for 'junk' watches π. I imagine the twitching 7546 will be some dry old oil so it's sat above the radiator at the moment to see if some heat will soften things up.

For $5? Everyday, and twice on Sunday. Have 2 silver ones, but not a blue one. Rob
