I just thought that the (arguably) most popular Seiko diver, deserved it's own thread. I love the classic look, and I believe it will undoubtedly be around forever. Please share your thoughts, and pics, of this timeless classic. Updated group shot. I added another to the fold, just felt wrong not having an HK dial in the mix.

The 6309 was the watch I started modding with. A watch that looks great with so many different combo options

Ok, so mine got AM this & AM that but hay I can fix that. Main thing (for me) is its bang on accurate being used for the Job it was intended for. Seen here handing out with My beloved Promaster

I have two. The one on the right now has a Bubble Boy crystal, a different insert and a full service from Spencer. The other one will have the service and a flat crystal soon. Neither is on the mesh now.

If there are three Seiko Diver's worth penning an ode to, then the trusty turtle has to be one of the trio . . . even though I've only been in possession of one since last year, my first auto since childhood, I reckon they are the fshizzle, fsho, seeing one of these on a mate's wrist at school was the watershed/epiphany moment that led to my buying a 7548-700H in 1980 . . . these are my best three, I've got two others from Ed Apo but these are the Dawg's danglies . . . especially the Soxa from Jimmy Pop and the hybrid from my Swedish connection, Kim, both the autos keep immaculate time . . . sheeeet, need to correct the day display on the 'original', too late !!!

Loving mine! I can see why they've become a classic. I do need a good watch mechanic though...this one has come down with a cold. It stops & starts a bit too randomly to be reliable. Forced to revert to my SKX173 for now.

I couldn't help myself, and snagged another off the Bay today. Fingers are crossed, hopefully it's as nice as I think it is.

6309-704x divers are my 2nd favorite Seikos (first place its for 7548) of all time. They just keep going no matter what.
I have two really nice ones and some spares, of course). This one is a 1979 Suwa model, with boxes and papers. I don't any to think what I paid for it :ouch: :ouch:, but I'm happy I have it. I need to send thus to Spencer for a service sometime this year.
(Sent from my mobile, please pardon my spelling)
