Well....I finally got it back on my wrist 😊. Its keeping great time! Got all new gaskets and service. I got this in a trade with a good friend plus cash. It seems original from my research but the issue is that it's running super fast. It has gained almost 5 minutes in two days. Is it worth the service?

That was a pretty quick turnaround, what was the diagnosis?

Honestly....I don't think it was anything major. He said it simply needed to be cleaned and oiled. I opted to spend the extra money to have it disassembled, cleaned, and all new gaskets installed. Sorry I don't have a better answer but this baby is ticking away and keeping great time.

Are the hands replacements then Todd? Just noticing the seconds hand lume compared to the h and m? Still a very smart 6309..

Nevertheless, I didn’t buy this one with any lofty expectations. Want to give it what it needs under the hood...
and be happy with it’s battle scars and character.

Are the hands replacements then Todd? BTW. David’s remark is an inside joke between the two of us. 😊

Nah not really, just intrigued. If I was to guess it would be that the original hands were a bit too far gone and the those, which could have been from a donor, were installed at some point, maybe years ago, leaving the seconds hand as if was. Who knows! Looks fine either way. I'd wear it! Don't break it!
