I lost my first turtle about 8 years ago. Long story short i got an SKX in its place. Last week i purchased this beauty. To my noob self before, they were the same. Now i’m wearing this, it feels so different. It sits lower on the wrist, and it seem to fit my wrist better

Swapped some crystals around and I'm super pleased with the Type III on my 6309. Now if I learn how to photograph this beauty...

Just thought I'd post this picture of my 6309 which I had Spencer service and Tim refinishing the case. It's all original (I think) except for the hands which are aftermarket. After my recent love affair with the SRP773, it's nice to have an old friend on the wrist again.

It did during a day outside in the sun last weekend. I posted a thread about it on TOF. Curiously it has lightened back up a bit over the week. Here's pics from the morning and afternoon of the sunny day and one from this morning. Very nice.

I just made a discovery. I knew I had this one sitting in my watchbox and while I can't recall its history, I do know it needs some work. The crown is probably pooched since it only engages counter-clockwise. Other than that, it still runs. I guess I do have a "Hong Kong" dial after all, given the absence of the Suwa logo? Must send it off to Spencer one of these days. Won't change a thing other than have the crown and potential mechanical issues addressed. How 'bout that, ya learn something new everyday!

The 6309 is an awesome watch, I’d love to add an original one to my collection but I think the time has passed to do so for a fair price

The 6309 is an awesome watch, I’d love to add an original one to my collection but I think the time has passed to do so for a fair price The Hong Kong 6309-7049 I have pictured above cost me less than an SRP777. I acquired it two months ago. Keep after it - they can still be found for a less than absurd price.
