I suppose this qualifies....early 1990's "Smiley Face" Casio AD-520...just picked this up...on the cheap too! But that Nato has to go. And here's it's brother....both arrived today...I think I like this one the best:

Sorry, it's not vintage. Usually I wear my SKX with a Zulu strap, but I'm playing golf today, so I decided to look a little fancier, and put my bracelet on it.

This is a sport that can kill a mechanical watch in an instant if you strike the ball with the club at a wrong angle and the shock travels up the shaft and through your wrist. Be particularly careful with 7s26B powered watches manufactured form 2006 thru 2012!

1997 model from the Age of Discovery series (1992-2000?) has the 5m45 caliber and all lume central dial GMT....I must give this more weartime. The OEM leather strap needs replacing as it is dried and cracked... dial3 by blingmeister, on Flickr

Because all I can think about when I hear Casio is those calculator watches.

And here's it's brother....both arrived today...I think I like this one the best: Odd question here: are Casio watches high quality? Because all I can think about when I hear Casio is those calculator watches. Well...I guess it depends on your viewpoint. I like all sort of watches for all sorts of reasons...I'm not locked into "this" or "that"....I have a pretty good-sized collection and it's about as varied as it could be. I have some very nice Swiss-made watches....a lot of nice Seiko watches, both old and more recent models....and I have a hefty collection of digital watches...including a gaggle of Casio G-Shock and ProTrek models....I see value in all of them....and I enjoy each and every watch I own for different reasons....the gauntlet runs from the fact that they're elegant....or useful....to downright being cool and "funky". Casio does, indeed, make some very fine watches...if you're definition of a timepiece includes the words "dependable", "accurate", "convenient", and "rugged". All kinds of people may try and pass judgement on whatever your choices may be watch-wise....but whatever you like...wear it proudly and don't worry about what others say. March to your own drummer and the heck with everybody else...be the "Un-Cola"....you'll have a lot more fun not confining yourself to this box or that box. Someone in the horology field once told me this: "The watch doesn't make the man....the man makes the watch". I've never forgotten that.

And yes, my definition of a good time piece does include "dependable", "accurate", "convenient", and "rugged". That's exactly what I look for in watches actually. Thank you for the response!

Well pretty much every day is Vintage Thursday for me - except it's already Friday here in Aus. Edit: try that again:

Not vintage, but it has a bit of a vintage look to it.

And swapping out to a vintage(ish -1990) digital for my lunchtime run. I got this from my parents for my 17th birthday. It doesn't get much use so I decided to leave it in a drawer at work for exercise purposes when getting sweaty with a vintage chrono isn't a great idea.
