I always like it when they placed the lume opposite of the long side of the hand. I think it visually balances the weight. I respect your liking this but I do not and find it a big reason to mod the SKX007 I just picked up. I find it 'bass ackwards' and don't care for it.

The party will always be split, to mod or not to mod. I agree 100% wit OP second hands are essential to sweep movements. Hands bezel and glass are mods that are often required for many of the watches I come across. Here is one mod I'm wearing today. I think it makes the second hand really stand out. Attachments:

The standard hand for the SKX007 has the lume opposite of the long side.

The lume pip on the seconds hand is on the other end of the hand than the long part that shows the exact time to the second. So at night, when it is exactly 8:00:00, if the lights are out and you are reading time by lume only, it seems to be 7:59:30 or 8:00:30. I am wrong about that?

I am a huge fan of red sweep seconds hands. I have a few and it really makes the watch stand out. Yours looks fantastic.

I'm with you on have a second hand with color. Just put together this one. I bought a bunch of second hands for Ofrei. I had a little tough time figuring out which one to choose and wound up choosing the one that fell out of the bag first.

Yes it will appear +/- 30 seconds when viewing in the dark. The uncertainty doesn't bother me.
