The brown ones HOT What is it with Seikos love affair with crappy little end links?!?! I think it's the style these days. Maybe because it adds more angles for light reflection?

I like those except for the mesh cut outs in the dial. It looks like they were trying to copy the Bulova Precisionist and that is the design flaw on those watches that has prevented me from buying a Precisionist. The price is what is preventing me from buying an Anata

Very very nice. Very Very expensive. Full retail on Brightz Anata is over 300,000 yen. Citizen had released a nice collection of vintage inspired chronographs. Obviously quartz. They seem to have been limited to Europe as I've never seen any mention in the US markets. Maybe even submarkets within Europe like Italy or Spain. Check out model numbers CA0130-40B, CA0130-23A, CA0130-07L. Casio also has a retro inspired Edifice model with all the bells and whistles. EQWA1110DC-1. This one is actully more expensive than you'd think, but I can't remember how much. Maybe $500... Sorry I have no idea why these pictures are showing so large.

Agreed,
they are quite nice, especially the blue one.
Apart from the price - I think Seiko is really starting to exaggerate a little by now - I just wish they would manufacture interesting watches with less than 42 mm in diameter. I mean do ALL watches have to be so big? How about offering choices? :-)
Best, Hermann

Anything above 42mm, with some exceptions that wear relatively small, is a lot less interesting to me personally. And that takes out the majority of watches nowadays, unfortunately... I often think 'Great lookin' watch!', but after looking at the specs (=size) this turns into 'Never mind...' It does save me a lot of money, grant you.

The finishing on these lugs is fantastic. The precision of the angles, depth of polish and clean transition between polished and brushed areas make this a clear step above most other models in the catalog.

I agree, some tasty lookin lugs but for me those end links, like the Sumo's, just sit too low.

Just don't scratch it cuz 10 years from now when you want it serviced and the case touched up if you've worn it daily you will be in for a shock. At least nowadays with the internet we know what the original case finishes were compared to guessing which way the burshing goes on bullheads and other vintage models.

They look really nice. I'd wear them. The mesh is unfortunate but besides that they are really nice.

Just ordered one of these. I just need to settle on a choice of a different hour and minute hand. Reminds me of the first gen Alpinist and Silverwave 50M with the quadrant dial. Only 500 will make good company with my 501 MOD I have planned once the rest of the parts come in next month or 2.
