I plan on never even having a credit card. It's convenient to have at least one. I've always paid it off in full and the end of the billing cycle, so I've never paid a cent in interest.

Not so much now with bank debit cards direct from your bank account, paypal and online banking. I've not owned a credit card in 15 years now and the only time I missed out was when I had to hire a car and leave a cash deposit as I didn't have a card number to leave instead as security. I got the money back so no big deal. That's once in 15 years it would have been handy.

In my opinion, I'd say save up for it rather than take out a loan. It might take more time and you may miss out on the watch you're going for, but chances are you'll be able to find it again.

I can't imagine why anyone would take out a loan to buy a watch, doesn't seem like good sense to me.

Every "investment" I thought would be a good deal wasn't.
Unless I have a buyer who I know would come through with the money on their end would I go out on a limb on my end to get said object.

Never taken a loan out. If you can't afford it cash then walk on. Just my opinion. I've never owed anyone a bean. Never taken out a loan. I don't even own a credit card. If I cannot afford some thing I save for it or sell some thing else. I'll leave this world with a zero bank balance unless some total git wipes me out beforehand. You're one of the lucky ones who've never had the need for a mortgage Tony, if only I was as fortunate!

I think this is a very unfair comment.

It was a comment Tony not a judgement. I don't need to know you or your circumstances to make a comment. My comment was based on your statement that you've never taken a loan out or owed anyone a bean, I stated the fact that wish I could have been as fortunate. I don't see what's unfair about that?
