Semi-retired watchmaker helped me out with a glass crystal that was pretty close fit.. after some gentle 'trimming' using a wet stone it now fits.. the first one he gave me cracked as it slipped into place.. Cheers

Finally got around to put the movement back into the case - 7009 from my granddad. The case still needs some work (I just cleaned it, as he was an avid smoker) and a new crystal is needed, too. But what a stunning dial! Brown strap also my addition. Got the original bracelet as well, but someone used pincers to keep the spare links from opening...

I have one of these I've made out of parts for my workshop watch. Stunning that blue isn't it It's become one of my favourites even though it's made out of scrappers.
