Considering that the Sportsmatics were not particularly high-grade at the time, these watches have a tremendous amount of detail to them...and those close-up dial shots show clearly what a fantastic example your particular watch is - very classy!

That is a beauty...you big showoff. I have often wondered why Seiko doesn't pay more attention to some of their past classic designs that so many collectors seek out? I mean how many of those watches would people buy if they were made available again? A ton I bet.

That's a really sweet one. Seiko was going for the throat of the Swiss watch industry in the 1960s and 1970s and watches like that typify their efforts.

I agree, that series did something special. They were simple, but way classy at the same time. Mine's not nearly as nice and in a state of disassembly, but wants to join the team.

Beautiful watches! I admired the gold one yesterday on the WRUW thread.

Looking at that watch Tim, I'd see everything but the Time. She's a beauty!

That is a stunning example Tim  I think that's helped the increasingly difficult decision as to what to wear this evening and tomorrow ! Both from 1965.

That's a stunning example. The deluxe always catch my eye. Here's one of mine. It doesn't have the level of detailing yours does though.

I happened to forget it at work. I'll be able to check tomorrow. Thanks! Oh, and if you ever decide to move it, please let me know. It's from November of '66. It gets plenty of wrist time and is one of my favorites.
