Today is my Mother's birthday. She would have been 88 but I lost her a little more than a year ago. She bought me this beautiful watch. I miss her terribly. I'm sorry to hear that....I just lost my mother last October....hard stuff.

Okay. beginning to wear my Seiko 6105 Divers today...I'll start with my best, a 1974 Resist/Resist 6105-8110, on one of Jonathan Koch's H-Link bracelets. (Sniff.. I miss that guy! :-/) These later 6105s (see below) have a cool "turn to lock" crown that has "Lock" with a curved arrow on it, and the 6105B movement, which makes them one of the only early Seiko divers (besides the 6306s) that hack. Again, like many Seikos of the era, there is an 8110 and an 8119, with the "9" meaning the watch was assigned to the North American market. There was also an earlier series of 6105 watches; the 6105-8000 and -8009. The older design used a smaller, more symmetrical case, and a non-locking but "signed" crown. They also have a bi-directional bezel that doesn't ratchet and the 6105A movement that does not "hack". Here are some good links for further study! Well, another Seiko 6105 is lined up for tomorrow, so don't miss it! - Thomas
