Since I have no chance at the contest (no birth year or pocket watch) and wasn't really in the mood for a digital today, I thought I'd brighten up this cloudy day with some 6138 bling. After some sandpaper, polywatch and new gaskets this one doesn't look too bad, despite the wear.

If any of them miss a day or 2 you might end up being closer to the top than you think. There are 6 people at 5 for 6. Trandy was in the running starting out but I don't know if I upset him or something on July 4th post as he hasn't posted since.

I'm going to miss at least three days unless I can find a limited edition pocket watch >50 years old very quickly, so you're still in the running Doomguy.

I think you guys are just sandbagging /trash talking WWF street racing style to scare the competition off

Gosh this is hard to do every day! So here's another threefer! I drove for 14 hours on Sunday and didn't get home until quite late, and Monday I had a work function to attend after normal working hours, and even tonight my "team" wanted to out for a beer or two after work. So I apologize once again that I have to show three days worth of watches tonight. ******************************************************** (Sunday July 5th) A very under-appreciated Seiko 5 .,,Getting back to my personal WIS history, after my first "order of six" from Reto, and ordering the black sapphire Citizen World Time from Boris, I saved up for a month or so, then went back and ordered three more from Reto! I saved a lot of money on shipping! One of them was the white sapphire Citizen World Time (completing my first "family"!), a Kinetic watch we'll see very soon, and today's watch. This watch is a 2004 Seiko 5 SNK381, the black dialed member of family of three. They all feature silver-outlined lumed hour numerals, one of my favorite watch features, the workhorse 7S26 automatic movement, a near perfect 38 mm size for this style of watch, a nice display back, and unique, functional, attractive "leaf" shaped hands that I have never seen on any other watch. They come on a decent folded link bracelet, but all of mine have found a happy home on a leather strap. We'll see the second in this series tomorrow, so stay tuned! - Thomas ******************************************************** (Monday July 6th) Another of those under-appreciated Seiko 5s .,,Today I am wearing a 2006 Seiko 5 SNK379, the forest green dialed member of this three watch family. Once I got the black one I wore yesterday in my possession I saw it was even finer than I had thought it would be and decided to quickly acquire the other two. I tried a few different straps on this, and finally tried this lighter brown "buffalo" textured strap and I think the "tone" (shade?) of the brown matches the green just right. Okay, the last one for tomorrow! - Thomas ******************************************************** (Tuesday July 7th) The last of these under-appreciated Seiko 5s .,,Whew! This is hard to keep up with! Sorry I'm so late, but here is the last of this family of very legible functional Seiko 5s, the white dialed SNK377. Even thought it is white numerals on a white dial with white hands, the raised silver outlining on the numerals keeps them visible and the hands are just large (wide?) enough that they also remain quite legible. Worn with a handsome Bros leather strap, it looks much classier than it did on the bracelet. Okay, it's almost 10 pm here and I haven't had dinner yet! But tomorrow I go back to the second Reto order and start wearing a series of Seiko kinetic watches with a delicate version of diver styling. - Thomas

Now start taking notes on the Cooter times so you can hopefully have an advantage in the Cooter shootout (however after the 10 years of the Cooter Dynasty I can tell you it is like the lottery and there is no pattern )

The 'Timecop' Yeah, it was worn by Jean-Claude Van Damme in the movie Timecop.

In that case, a switch over to the 'Timecop' this evening. A digital watch with a slide rule bezel, first one i've seen. That's pretty neat.

You can enter a single watch to more than one daily theme, can't you? Not that I plan to ... now I only need to find out, which of my watches were in a movie...
