Thought I'd get in early (well it's 4.40pm so not so early) with a WRUW for Tuesday. Most of Australia is unseasonably hot for the last few days and this includes Hobart, the closest Australian city to Antartica. A month into spring and today got to 32 degrees (90F) so I got out and enjoyed a run up the rivulet track to the Cascade Brewery. Some might remember it from my world traveller posts. Focus on the brewery since we all know what a 7548 looks like.

I went for a jog last night and it was 62 degrees when I left the house. Sun was going down so it got a bit cooler. I find that I run better when it's cooler. Must have something to do with the amount of oxygen in cooler air! BTW . . . did you stop for a cold one at the brewery?

Put this together this weekend. I put two coats of lume on the dial and hands, glows very well the stuff from watchlume.com is very good for the price and will glow all night. This was my first dial with Roman numerals and it was a bit difficult with some mistakes. Any hints on how to remove excess lume from a glossy dial, I tired but wound up scratching the dial. I also repainted the bezel, not sure I'm that hot on the colors and may try all sliver next... The movement is a DG2813 I took apart the main gear train just to see if I could and put it back together. It is running at +10 seconds / 24 hrs. I'm becoming more impressed with this movement (big bang for the buck) although it is very difficult to put back together... Attachment Deleted
