Very impressive ! Is there anything that man can't do ? Maybe time to do the "honey do" things around the house (if he has a wife to assign them).

I'm currently working on a two more, let me know what you guys are interested in doing for a custom Wrist Sushi dial... I think I have the process pretty close to perfected Version 2 With brushed hands and a new second hand that has been made thinner and I flattened the rivet. Version 2 Version 1

I'd be in on a Wrist Sushi dial. Any interest in a white one? Been wanting to do a white mod for a while but can't find the right dial.

I'd be in on a Wrist Sushi dial. Any interest in a white one? Been wanting to do a white mod for a while but can't find the right dial. Back in the day of the old Network 54 Seiko & Citizen Forum Noah Fuller had a custom forum dial made and built 24 PVD SKX divers watches with it. That was one of his first projects. I wish I would have bought one but didn't have the funds back then. If I recall it took a long time for them to all sell out (we're talking 24 watches to the biggest Seiko forum at the time) Leading up to the final design everyone in the peanut gallery wanted something different with 50 different ideas. While I am all for a forum watch I don't think it would pan out. I tried to give away some watch parts and all 500 registered members at the time had to do was guess how many coins were pictured. I think 15 people total responded. And it was FREE to enter. Now getting people to pay money . . . . . I would support a custom dial that you could use to MOD the watch of your choice or an "overbranding" of and existing dial of your choice with the chosen logo or text.

A tech you could consider with this is digital printing. It's not new but it was recommended to me by a printing place as a potential solution to doing these dials. Many signage places have these machines now and they can print on nearly any substrate.

Here is my latest I call it the Frogman. It was a replica watch that some one gave me and I have completely de-branded the watch with a new custom dial.

After the last build the Chinese movement would run intermittently. I did not have the energy or desire to tear it down, the movement finish is quite rough and was certain that anything I did would only be temporary. The strange thing is the movement was not a copy of anything (as far as I can tell) and the second hand was just below the 3-9 line as was the hole for the second hand in the dial... The Miyota 8215 fits, the stem hole lined up perfectly. All that was needed was a minor alteration to one of the dial feet and some minor modifications to the movement holder. I filled in the original second hand hole and decided to go with a black face. I painted the dial black and put two decals on the dial; with two decals the white lettering was brighter. The face was clear coated the dial with a textured finish and then add 3 coats of lume to the holes backed up with white paint. I have a collection of hands and fitted a long set of hands for an ETA 2824-2 movement. The hour and minute hand were broached to fit and had to shrink down the second hand followed by another broaching. Miyota 8215: 100/152/17 ETA 2824-2 : 90/150/25 Refitting a new stem took some time as it had to be on the mark to account for the crown locker.

Here is a another I just finished. I'm working on a new dial design for this one and will make my own dial blank as it takes too long to get a dial from China.

I like most of what I see but I think the Minute hand looks a bit too big for my taste although I like the orange border. I'm certain it wouldn't be easy but I'd prefer the border to be on the second hand..My $.02. Your other designs look quite nice too.

Thanks Small, I have been thinking about another handset specifically a shorter minute hand, but still orange. I have another dial on deck and will try the new hands.

These really look great. I can see a improvement in your process from the beginning to the most recent.
Get your dial blanks laser cut, you could even do two layer sandwich dials this way. It will be the cheapest way to get it done.
If you need some help with the drawings etc to make it happen let me know.
