Whatta ya think gents? Seiko or Feiko? The word "Seiko" looks a little fubar. Lume looks too white for it's age. An inquiring mind would like to know.

Hey All, I am interested in buying a 6139. Can you cast your eyes on the dial and case and give me your opinion - Seiko or Feiko? Thanks! Attachments:

Looks like an honest old watch that has lead a good life. You need to check on the chrono reset as the chrono wheel is next to impossible to source if the one in the watch is shot.

Second hand is wrong, not sure about the black date wheel either.

Black date wheel is right, but that seconds hand is definitely not the original.

ok. thank you. I had doubts about the second hands too. the strange light reflection on the crystal and the remaining of gold plating under the case were also worrying. I'll let this one go.

Seller indicates freshly serviced and new crystal. But that dial and inner chapter look pristine and these silver dial originals are hard to come by. Even the bezel looks mint. I'm thinking a slew of aftermarket parts. Took good to be an original?

IHMO, the dial looks aftermarket but not 100% sure. To my eye, the font on the Seiko logo looks off.

Is it me or does the serial number on this one raise any flags?

Looks legit to me, what concerns do you have? The low serial #. Seems pretty rare.

My limited knowledge tells me the dial is AM as the sub dial marking has a gap with the circle. Real dial shld not have such a big gap. Also the Seiko font looks wrong to me too. For the inner bezel, if the lume at 12 is printed then is am as well. Cant tell from the pic thou.

So was wondering if you guys thought this is a real Oman watch or not. The seller bought it at a auction in England that came with other Oman watches. I enquired as to what the other ones in the box was and he said the one he remembered was a Dior watch with inner box with the Crest on it alongside the watch having it engraved on the caseback. Thanks

I just picked up this 7002 on Ebay for low money. I'm assuming it's not all original, but I still like it for the money paid. Any comments about what is/isn't original to the watch? The crown, date disk and bezel (not insert) look correct. Same for the case and case back albeit polished. The other visible parts do not match the condition of the correct parts and likely not to be original.

Thank you! Do you think the dial is a non Seiko part? Definitely not an original Seiko part The lume is way to green and the text is all wrong. But then again OEM dials in great condition are hard to find these days.

Bummer. I had read that if they were too green it was a fake, but I didn't think it was all that green.
