I've been eager to get a few of these "end of the year" purchases together and today I have one.
A while back I bought a NOS Citizen case for the 52-0110. All the while I've been on the lookout for a movement with a good dial and handset. There was a "P.A.F" military connection 52-0110 for sale on the 'bay with a BIN/OBO and my offer was accepted. I am uncertain as to the military connotation, the seller indicated it was Pakistan Air Force. Regardless, I was more interested in the movement, dial and hands.
Here is the case I got (seller's photos):
I know, just gorgeous!
Here is the watch I purchased (seller's photo):
And the PAF caseback:
I also got a bracelet and put the whole package together:
Just smokin' hot! However, those among you that read the VCW website will no doubt see a glaring mistake I am making: the dial codes and print are for the "Type 1" 52-0110 made in 1977. The case I bought is made in 1978, and a different dial should be in the case. You can read more here: Vintage Citizen Watch which I believe is by our very own Sweephand.
I am enjoying this as is, but will be on the lookout for a "correct" dial and handset for the NOS case.
Thanks for reading!
Dan

I absolutely LOVE those vintage Citizen divers, I believe an acquisition needs to be one of my New years resolutions. Correct or not, that is a beauty.

Thanks Tim. Ya gotta get 'em while the gettin's good - they're harder to find than a good 6105, but still fairly cheap.

Hi Dan - you've put together a very nice example of the 52-0110. Btw VCW is not my blog, that one is by a chap called Bogdan.
I don't think there's any problem with your dial - it is the later type, i.e dial code 824391, applied Citizen logo and a date frame that doesn't extend round the lume marker.

That one looks great.
You could have fooled me (and I assume 99% of Ebay buyers) that it wasn't 100% "all original" and NOS if you threw it up on there.

Dasher - what bracelet did you fit out of curiosity? I managed to find one of these in pretty rough condition a while back and have since cleaned it up a little but mine is on a hirsh rubber strap, and the stainless bracelet looks so much better. Attachments:

I just did a search on eBay for it. Here is what I bought:
www.ebay.com/itm/201341018174?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
It's not the most awesome bracelet, it feels a pinch light in the hand and the end pieces are light as well. However, it does the job and looks great so "until the day that one comes along, I'll string along with it" so to say....

You've put together a great example hats of to you man. From memory the PAF marking is associated with the Palestinian military, I could be wrong but I recall reading an article on a mid 70,s Citizen pilot watch with this marking be linked to the Palestinian Air Force. However the Pakistan military did fight alongside Palestinian military in the seventies. (Confused) ? I've attached a pic of one of mine. Attachments:

Thank you Paul. I've also read that the P may stand for Poland, so your guess is as good as mine.

Thanks! I'll have to check with Adrian about the gaskets, but rest assured, this watch is going nowhere near water. I'll take my MM300 diving before I take this one.
Actually, the case back gasket looked good, there wasn't a crown gasket, I tried to add a crown gasket, but it would not screw down properly, and I've not messed with the bezel on either watch just yet.
