That's one really nice piece. I'm hoping to come across one of those one day. You'll have to show me at some point when you're coming through my town.

Ok Mate Here you go this is what I have noticed the last 12 months some of the nicest pieces have been coming out of the Philipines but like every watch you see due your due diligence, make sure as I di I ask for 20 pictures if that person is sincere and wants to sell that watch then they will go out of their way for you as I have found. The other thing is some people need to get over their prescribed Ideas of watches from the Philipines are crap that's just not right. I am extremely careful and use all the knowledge I have gained from all of you over at the SCWF and other sites, I read a great deal on watches not just Seiko and Citizen but Swiss/German/ French made watches. So when you see Gatsuk, psi_racing and others offering watches from the Philipines stop and take a good look. Here are the watches I have purchased the last 4 months from the Philipines. There you go thats all of them never been happier and the prices I paid for most of them superb and very well affordable. Cheers Looks fantastic, I love it. You always find the nicest examples, time to share your source

that's a nice 6138 - I much prefer the blue version. I have a brown-dialed one that came in as a total DOA for a pretty OK price - it needs a full rebuild, casework, crystal, seals, crown, but it's an OK watch. Thanks for reminding me that it exists!

Mark,
given that open lugs (i. e., no 'hood' cases) are a prerequisite for a watch to make it into my gathering I had not given too much thought about the 6138-803x series. I must admit however that your watch looks simply gorgeous, I think the blue variant is far nicer than the black/gold model. Love the linen subdials.
Congratulations on a very nice pick-up and enjoy!
Best, Hermann
