I have owned worse looking watches. I find myself overly careful where/when I'll wear my 6105's any more. If this was inexpensive, it might allow me to enjoy the basic styling without fear of hurting a classic.

Well, The watch may be designed like a 6105, But it is not a 6105...So I don't look at it like it has aftermarket looks...It is what it is a Smiths Watch and that is the way I view it chinathumbsup.gif Comparisons to Seiko AM parts don't come into play IMHO...

Its a low volume micro boutique brand watch. Its not gonna win over those who already have genuine 6105s, or those interested in restoring genuine 6105s. I agree with Pete, from the pictures, it looks like a well executed homage. Whether or not its worth the money is debatable, but its doubtful I'll ever be motivated to own one. now a Seiko made reissue with a 6r15, that's a different story entirely.

If Seiko did a Reissue, For me it would have to be an exact watch cosmetically, An upgraded movement would be a must. And I would think Seiko should do a reissue of the 62mas first chinathumbsup.gif JMHO ^^^

Having a decent original example, I'd give Jake's offering a go as the dimensions are a bit different and it also has DRILLED LUGS!!! smiley-excited002
Both are nice...the Smith looks like it comes with a great bracelet...I just want to know how much it'll cost.

Cannop just because you had good customer sevice does this mean the ones saying otherwise are lying? It's as though your saying it never happend. I remember on the SCWF forum you said name and shame then on discovering it was a timefactors watch you deleted that As though embarresed.

He only pointed out that there are more positive stories than negative ones concerning Eddie. People edit and delete posts all the time. It doesn't mean anything more than the poster changed his/her mind about the content.

I was looking at buying a Time Factors watch some time ago, but the many negative stories I read whilst googling (not only the Everest crystal, but batteries that died after 2 months, waterproof problems, stains, dust specs under the crystal and on more than one occasion a complaint about refusal to do something about it) made me very weary. Some of the members of this forum seem to have been kicked off TZ-UK after they complained.
I know there are also many positive stories, and I also realise some people are very particular and can sometimes demand unreasonable service, so a single bad review would not neccesarily put me off. No intend to smear someone's reputation, which is all too easy, as Cannop rightly states, but I guess in this transparent world where both good and bad feedback is so freely and easily shared, perception can be a real important factor in people's choice where to spend their hard-earned money. In which case it would be a pity, if Eddy is such a stand up guy, that these opinions keep following him.
Any other opinions, please share!

Duncan unfortunately most on here appear only to have have read the negative comments from Everest customers whose crystals fell out. Maybe you could post some positive comments from Everest customers who lost their crystals but were happy with the outcome?
