I guess it must have been the effects of the summer sun, but at the weekend I came across a Mondaine Ecoquartz in a local pawn shop. Got it for less than a bottle of decent rum but turns out the movement is dead. It came in a 33mm recycled brass case housing an ETA 400.101 movement, tiny little thing. I can pick up another 400 movement for less than £5 but wondered if anyone has any ideas as to what else could be done with it. Here's the dial - 28.5mm diameter. Hands are 120/70/20. I'd like to do something with it as I think these are great looking watches, even if it's dropping in a better movement that'll fit the existing case. Ideas welcome!

Is the same one you put the Seiko movement on?
If this one is a different one I would just keep it simple and put the correct movement back in it.

If I had it, I'd be dropping it in a reasonable sized Swiss case- I'm partial to the heuer brevet case but probably would better suit a slimline silver case, aviator style.
