A while back a friend of my daughter gave her this watch to pass on to me when he found out that I collected watches.. He bought it in Feb 1975 when on his way to New Zealand.. The watch had a hard life as you can see from the original gold plated bracelet.. I got the Autosol metal polish out and used it on the crystal.. I then put it on a nice leather strap.. The locals thought it looked pretty good too.. I sent it off to the watchmaker and he sent me these shots of the calibre 2481 movement.. Omega used the same movement at this time but called it the 1481.. Date of manufacture based on the serial number is 1972.. Back from service and on the wrist.. Cheers

cheering-clapping-smiley-emoticon Fantastic Tony! THank you for sharing. I've been searching for a nice Tissot Seastar chronograph for a while now. I've always been a fan of the vintage Tissot.
Yours cleaned up nicely and looks great on the leather. thunbsup.gif

Totally agree with Chris. Nice and understated. The rich brown leather really lifts it I think. Good Snag mate!

Great watch, but what is that creature, that you refer to as a 'local'?

Great watch, but what is that creature, that you refer to as a 'local'? Rob. It's a dinosaur of sorts.
