This is the Swatch 'BEAT' that they tried introducing 'Internet time' with. The watch has half a dozen modes but the kookiest one is Internet Time which is about as close to metric time as we'll likely ever get. I can't show all the features at the moment because this sucker consumes a relatively large battery in less than two years and I don't have a spare ai the moment embarrassed-smiley-face Oh yeah; it measures 55mm across surprised-scream-smiley-emoticon

Not exactly an unconspicuous dress watch, eh?
Does the rather large battery come in a handy backpack, for ease of transportation?

Question - would internet time be closer to metric time then GPS time?

It takes a CR1632 Lithium battery. They are a good size but not as big as the ones that keep the CMOS in your computer alive. From the instruction manual and online reading; Internet Time is sort of a mix of UTC and Metric time...no wonder it never caught on laugh1.gif

Holy shit, that is fugly. And thus why it had a very short lived production. It's not even a cult watch; just a mistake that everyone has forgotten laugh1.gif

So the recommended practise is to be careful with that strap, if anything happens to it you'll probably never be able to find a replacement that fits properly...
