Oh jeez tritto , don't make it any more complicated for Josh! He's apparently only come back for the anniversary contest - at this rate he won't be back for the 5th So, we have camrok who has shit out for anything this year, tritto who has got the Grand Prize 3rd hand, Mr.Jones who is still in the running, and Groundhog66 who no-one seems to love... I've lost track of who might be eligible for a strap or two in the raffle, let's just hope that ain't as damn complicated as the main prize! Sad, but true statement..... Tim, we all love you on here!!

This all reminds me of the episode recaps on "Soap" which I used to love back in the day.

Well, that was quite interesting. Congratulations to Jonas, then Camrok and then Tristan... I'm thoroughly confused. But still, great contest and great gestures from the grand prize winner(s)! Thanks Josh and everyone for another great anniversary competition!

Hey all. The timegrapher, organised by Adrian-VTA, arrived yesterday and I got to have a play with it tonight. Thank you WS and camrok. I'm going to have a lot of fun with this. Setup was easy - plug it in, turn it on, and put a watch in the cradle. Auto beat rate sensing, but I'm going to have to do some research into the correct lift angle for my various movements. I must say, the results have been somewhat dismaying - nothing like the 5spd, 200 amplitude, 0.1 beat rates some of you guys show off after you service a watch. But service history of most is unknown. Perhaps I should be doing this with a watch that's fully wound rather than shaking them for 15 seconds and dropping them into the cradle. 😳 Ah well, lots to learn. Regulating watches will be somewhat more scientific than my usual trick of tracking drift over a couple of hours, adjusting, waiting, adjusting etc. Then I'm going to have try my hand at adjusting beat error... then there's servicing to think about. Thank you again. Me playing with a few watches...

What a coincidence, the strap you sent arrived last night! It's interesting, haven't had a chance to try it on a watch yet. Thanks again for the prize, and thanks all for the fun contest.

Thank you again. Me playing with a few watches... YES the watch MUST have a decent wind or the readings mean nothing. A typical old Seiko with a minor wind paints a terrible TimeGrapher and then with a decent wind it can clear up into something very nice. And you cannot consider regulating without at least a decent wind on it. I hear "1 and a half turns of the mainspring" is a common rule which is fine if you have the case back open and you can successfully use a screwdriver to wind the mainspring as is easy to do on most old Seikos. If you are using the rotor then do the math for the number of times the rotor has to go around and it's a lot of rotor turns ! Beautiful collection in that watch box, too

I am remiss to not have posted that Camrok sent the Casio Altimeter. I really like it. THANK YOU CAM.
FYI my darn phone battery is shot and it's 2 weeks to the day tomorrow since I ordered a replacement and being a lithium battery it's moving across the country insanely slow. I am FRUSTRATED as I can't take photos and hardly cruise WristSushi and have not even made a WRUW post !

Thank you Jon, and thanks for the advice about putting a good wind on the watch. Must be why the two 6138s I looked at last night seemed better than the others - I was able to give them 20 turns hand winding them.
