The winner must have backed out of the deal. Either that or shill bidding.

Either that or shill bidding. That is always a possibility.

$333? That's pretty amazing for a watch that's only 6105 on the outside (as long as you don't count the hands). I paid right around that for my very first 6105-8000 back in 2010, and guys said I had really overpaid. I did, at the time. But not anymore. I still wonder if the the -8009 / resist caseback was a factor in this final price.

I expect so. I've never understood why people bother bidding if they don't have the money to pay or are unsure about it. It'll probably make more this week . The same happened on a rough 8000 here in the UK a few weeks ago. Sold for £180 then relisted a week later & made about £260 ! Buyer's Remorse, often fueled by beer-induced bidding euphoria. That's way too much for that watch in my opinion and the first winner realized it before paying for the deal. I think eBay needs to permanently ban winners who don't complete the transaction. Twice (once a watch, the other an auto part) I had winners end up emailing sad stories about why they can't pay. I laid low and when they bought the same or similar items for less from someone else I contacted them and told them to pay what they bid or I'd rat them out, and both times, that got them to do the right thing by me.
