So I'm in the process of assimilating a giant hoard collected over decades and found this. There's a nice dial to go with it marked RESIST.

The 8 on the serial looks like it used to be a 0 ?

That's just standard wear unfortunately...no mystery or secret "Bulgarian Pogue" riddle to crack. So I'm in the process of assimilating a giant hoard collected over decades and found this. So Dec 1970 is definitely an early date for a Resist but why not? The -6007 case variant is a bit rare but must have been a submarket/geography. I had once as well as a -6001 so no big deal there. I will assume that the stampers at Seiko implemented Resistant earlier on this rarer -6007 than others.
At least being a horseshoe stamp with the full word "resistant" on the back while only "resist" on the dial is consistent with all other early resist Pogues.
