I picked this up used off the forums a few months back and have worn it fairly frequently.
I had been looking at their BC3 model and liked the case design but not the 50 meter resist rating. This one came up on the sales forums and with a 200 meter depth rating I too the leap. Its a model from a few (6 or 8 ?) years back and having 20mm lug width doesn't require a proprietary bracelet or strap like some of the newer models. I also liked the look of the ghosted type look of the bezel with the engraved markings left unpainted. When you catch it in the right light the dial has a two tone look that alternates the minute track taking on a lighter or darker look compared to th main dial area. It sports a sapphire crystal but some under glass anti reflection would have been a nice touch.
I took the plunge and removed the back while writing this for clarification and found the movement stamped ETA 2836-2 with the rotor showing Oris 635 . This does not have their trademark red coloured rotor and being an older model is not an in house movement. I don't know if this has an Oris module attached to an ETA base or if they just signed the rotor ( anybody ? ) . Anyhow its a windable automatic, 25 jewels, 28,800 vph and so far is keeping great time.
It came with a full length bracelet with diver extension and a vanilla scented rubber strap. The strap inersting as the wholes were not punched all the way through until use making for a really clean look. I'm not sure about that vanilla though, fortunately you only get a whiff once in a while.
The signed screw down crown is only slightly recessed with minimal protection but it's not a worry as there are no big rocks around my desk. The bezel is one directional.
The lume, while not up to Seiko standards is pretty good. I believe my last purchase ( SRP777 ) was at the end of 2016 so it has been a while. I do know i"m happy with this one.
