I came across this on reddit and thought it was interesting, glad to see they included the Gruen's which a lot of people miss from the list. I don't know if the list is exhaustive and/or accurate but thought it was interesting enough to share. (Credit appears to be due to firstclasswatches, their details are at the bottom of the pic). I have a sum total of one of these, and that is in the wrong colour! (7A28-7020 in black and not the white the Roger Moore donned in AVTAK).

Nice.
As far as gadgetry goes, I'm pretty sure the Breitling Top Time (Thunderball) contained a Geiger counter.

Well, if I may: in "A View to a kill" he wore two more Seikos: The SPW001 H558-5000 on the Eiffel Tower: (thanks Galpo) and a Datejust-like Seiko with fluted bezel: Source: 007mi6.net/how-rolex-and-cartier-stole-seikos-groove-in-james-bonds-a-view-to-a-kill/Seiko UK confirmed this to be a SPD094 6923-8080, which was re-iterated in various calibers. This was the last Bond with Seiko watches, sadly (also the last Moore) - and their role was decorative only. No gadgets, nothing. You barely even see them on screen.

I've just looked it up on IMDB and Commando & AVTAK both came out in 1985... so does that mean we can officially call it a Rog rather than an Arnie?

Ha.... UK TV has been repeating the Bond films over the last few weeks, and being a 70's child, I caught a few of my favs with Roger Moore. I had sort of assumed that all the Bond watches were either Rolex or Omegas as my interest in watches coincided with the more recent Bonds. So it was with great pleasure to spot Roger Moore sporting a number of Seikos - pushed Roger Moore up in my estimation as the best (well certainly cheesiest) Bond ever. I wonder how Seiko persuaded the film studio to use their watches for the next few years - or was it simply a reflection of Seiko's Quartz being ultra modern and futuristic and hence the natural watch of choice for the greatest Spy ever......
Anyway, great post and really interesting to see trends and fashions change over the years.

With the current cost of a REAL Rolex Sub 6538 being $54,000 and up , an ALPHA Sub hommage is my way to get a BOND like sub in my collection.

Because of the slight silimarities between the TUDOR BlackBay and the BOND Sub (big crown with no guards / dot markers / no date / case shape) I was close to pulling the trigger on a second hand one on Ebay .. I don't know, still may do it.

The Sport 100 looks a lot like the old Casio Twingraph, though I'm sure the Sport 100 was out first.

Hi. The general protocol here is we don’t list a skite sheet after each post.many members here own some hundreds of watches each. Besides pissing people off it takes up too much space. Cheers Phil

Wow awesome that 6538 is a substantial amount of money to make a down payment for a house. What a great post!

You guys are missing the best James Bond gadget watch. Donald "Red" Grant's (Robert Shaw) concealed garrote in the bezel watch. It is the only believable mod of any of these watches and probably the most useful to an agent in the field. I wanted one so badly when I was a kid. I guess my sister was lucky I never had one...

It's a good list with some exceptions. Roger Moore wore a Rolex Datejust in A view to a kill, not a Seiko Datejust as Dell Deaton specified, the Seiko was worn by Patrick Macnee. I suspect the scenes at the chateau were filmed last as Roger Moore appears to be wearing his own Rolex, which was a two tone Datejust. I also think the Gruen was Sean Connery's personal watch which he seems to have worn when scenes didn't require another watch.

Judging by that photoshop of the Planet Ocean in the title drawing, our 007 must have a 10" wrist!
