Well it was a good price for Australia and I've always loved two stroke stinkers! It's a fairly original 18000Miles Yamaha YR2 350cc from 1968, but as you'd expect from a bike that's been sitting, it does need a bit of TLC, but it goes hard and is a ton of fun!

I'd just love a Bridgestone 350GTR, they are a pretty, well engineered and fast bike! But they are really small, I tried one at a VJMC rally last year and thought it was a 125 It felt like I'd break it in half!

It's interesting how the tanks slopes opposite of modern bikes. No hooking your knee in that tank. Beautiful machines.

Hi. Both were fast. The GTR became the Kawasaki 350, the and added cylinder became a triple just to scare the living crap out of any rider

Hi, just found this site and I'm restoring a YR2 and the seat vinyl is a big unknown. If you still have the bike and the seat cover is original I would REALLY appreciate a close up of the vinyl.
I had one of these bikes as a young engineering students back in the late '60's so it's a real emotional issue for me to try and get it right. If you can help it would be great, if not thanks for listening!! Alex McLean
