Fortunately it makes no difference on modern Seiko divers since the seals are on the stem and not in the crown. If your Seiko is going to leak; it will do so with or without the crown screwed down.

He said the same thing when I gave him the price to fix it properly.

He said the same thing when I gave him the price to fix it properly. So in todays disposable economy did he fix it or scrap it. I make some decent coin for the lunch fund going through the scrap pile at work and making something out of nothing. I guess I am like that Flip This House show on A & E where if you put out a quality product you have people lined up to buy what you have for sale. I have a short list of I'll be there in 5 minutes buyers. Too bad the supply can fulfill the demand. I found a new guy who runs a hood property management company who said "I'll take whatever you got" because my guys will kill a mower in less than a month. While I believe your word is bond and I wouldn't sell something to someone if I wouldn't feel comfortable buying it myself this is a jackpot opportunity as I know my work will hold up more than that under proper use. I guess that is why I have a problem selling all of the stuff I have accumulated over the years as I have a fear that the new owner will not be as happy with whatever it is as I was. So anywho if your guy says no way tot he repair and you want to sell it for $25 for parts I'll take it off your hands (or trade you a nice hotrod lawnmower I built for myself with a NOS Toro SR4 Super Recycler dealer display sample complete deck and trans with a lightly used Honda engine and handlebars which would cost you $575 at your local authorized outlet. I love modding stuff with ther best of the best parts available )

Forget screwing down the crown what about the missing HE escape valve or whatever Omega wants to call it at 10 o'clock? I call it marketing. Why does the standard Seamaster 300M have the extra crown but the 300M Seamaster GMT (if anyone has one they want to let go cheap let me know) doesn't have that hideous obtrusion? Reminds me of why I am not an Orient fan as most of them have that stupid date pusher. I mean how often do you need to chnage the date in an average day that you need a button.

Having looked at the face picture before scrolling down I did wonder if Omega had gone into the washing machine business!
