Thinking about dipping my toes into the modding arena and added a coin edge bezel and a new insert. Anyone have a recommendation where to buy the bezel and insert. Looking at maybe a black planet ocean bezel insert.
Thanks

I am very pleased with my coin edge bezel from Yobokies shown here (left watch): There is/was another fellow who also makes them. I forget his name though Wait...was it Murphy?

One Second Closer makes tons of bezels for Seiko's.

I have a Crystal Times coin edge with a flat sapphire crystal. It lines up fine for me.

One other thing to consider is whether these bezels are ratchet or friction fit. The former means the bezel actually clicks like ones they replace. I think Yobokies bezels are ratchet fits. Dave Murphy's bezels are friction fit which means they rely on the internal rubber o-ring to provide resistance and do not "click". I've had Dave's offerings on 3 of my skx series for a little over five years now and they work great. Now that there are more suppliers you have options. Good stuff!

i'm with russ, the murphy's are great bezels. i prefer s bi-directional bezel, if you're not deep sea diving, it makes much more sense. the friction holds the bezel just fine, i have never had an unintentional slippage, and the clickless setting is much more accurate. it also solves a lot of misalignment issues with the seikos....
