Seven-time Formula 1 race winner Juan Pablo Montoya has teamed up with Swiss watchmaker Artisans de Geneve to launch a limited-edition model that reinterprets the iconic Rolex Daytona timepiece.
This is one Fugly Watch, Could be a Invicta for all I know

Hi. There is usually a waiting list to get a stainless Daytona so it’s fair to assume the watches were sourced direct from Rolex. That would mean Rolex were aware that the watches would be butchered, surprises me as they have no trouble selling all those they make at a premium price. Looks more like something you would expect from Chopard, Zenith or Hublot.Cheers Phil

Agreed the wait for an SS Daytona is over a year in many cases. Makes a preowned the way to go.

And even then, you pay a hefty premium for the “opportunity” to buy one.
Hi. Well at least with the pre owned ones many have the Zenith El Primera movement. Cheers Phil
This actually looks like one of the new Zenith El Primero choronographs... I'm definitely not a fan, especially at that price.
The Artisans of Geneve also did a Submariner remake recently, and a Spike Lee Daytona that was much more subtle, but still terrible. These are worse than the BLAKEN or Bamford pieces I've seen; at least some of the Blaken Vintage line harkens back to pay tribute to some amazing Rolex pieces. Still overpriced for a piece that has, essentially, a fake dial and no Rolex warranty, but better looking than these things...
Yeah let's bash the pre-eminent completely vertical watch house (complete with precious metal forge) based on one polarizing model because it is expensive and not to our liking and most egregiously of all, not a Seiko
Myself I am saving up for this 18K Gold Seiko Credor GBBD998:
You know, that Montoya LE is starting to look a lot better.
