Bit of a long shot this, but nothing ventured... My brother-in-law handed me this last night for me to have a look at. It’s a SMITHS 1/100 minute ‘time and motion’ stopwatch. The reason it doesn’t run properly was easy to diagnose - the upper balance shock jewel is missing. It looks like someone has been in there in the past and may not have secured the shock spring properly. It’s a 7-jewelled calibre 0626 movement, but I can find nothing online to help with identifying the part required. Can anyone offer anything in the way of assistance?

I'm sure you looked, but it isn't floating in the case somewhere?

I'm sure you looked, but it isn't floating in the case somewhere? Actually Todd, I haven’t looked. It may well be in there. I just pried the caseback to see what was inside. I’ll probably decase it at some point.
