Anyone ever do this? I have some 6309 Sample watches I bought years ago. A few months ago I got a few 7546 watches on Yahoo Japan. One was not working and had an ugly case to boot. I serviced it this weekend and it seems to be happily ticking away. So I was thinking of combining resources and put the 7546 into a case I like.
The 7546 has a tab on the dial and the 6309 dials do not so I might have to swap dials. One candidate has a Seiko 5 dial. That could cause some head scratching down the road.

7546 goes into a 7548, 7548 goes into a 6309, sooo...It should. Not very scientific, it's all I got.

Totally swaps fine.
Dial tab can be filed off and the chapter ring held steady by dial dots if we are talking sacrificial non-valuable parts.

It is done. Had to use a dial spacer from my Ramon spares. Otherwise pretty easy swap. Attachments:

Are there any other movements that share the crown stem and movement size with the 7546/7548/6309/6306?
