Aloha Just to see who rides and have or had Bikes no and before. Do we have any Riders and maybe some Pictures. Note: Stock or Custom Bikes or Choppers all are OK. I can start of with this : One of my many Choppers that I rode daily and built myself. 1949 Harley Davidson Pan Head with a ....109 C.I. Stroker Motor / Front End is a Denver's Custom Springer and it was 7 foot long. Louis Two More Here. Another but anoter a long Front End was added. Another built to ....109 cubic inch. I built a duplicate just like my Friend had but painted .....Black.

Those are some lovely bikes! I started my "motor-cycle" riding on a '68 BSA Lightning that had a springer front end, no front brake. Had a wicked rake that made it tough on a new rider. Sold it while in college to get it out of my parents place and to fund beer drinking...Every now and then I think I'd like to find a stock one as bikes from back then just look cool, to me. Next was a '95 Sportster 883dlx I still have. Bought new a few months before I got married. At that time there were waiting lists to buy them. HD had really turned it self around. Anyway my name came up, and I needed to ask if it was okay, since we were saving for a wedding and a house... So the girlfriend (now wife) said go ahead and get it, I don't want you coming to me in your middle age and saying "you never let me have my..." Honestly she was right, (most often actually but we argue anyway) had I not have bought it then, odds are I wouldn't have ever as "other things" would have taken priority... I started to rebuild a '68/9 Honda S-90 for my son. I thought it would make a good Father son project...except he had zero interest. We assembled it, we took it for a few spins in the neighborhood, and then but it in the shed, where it sits. My sister asked me to make here one, and I have a 1/3 finished Cafe style Honda S/CL in the shop. She got MS right after I started the project and so it too sits along with several shelves of spare parts and frames. I always think I'll move the stuff along, but then think; I may want them, to have something to do when I retire. Then I remember I don't plan on retiring....I know the S-90 didn't come in blue but the CL did and I was hoping to match that color the CL had... Only photos I have locally, not sure were one would be of the BSA but I know there were some... Buck horns have been replaced with flat-tracks on the sporty

Yeah. Been riding since 1967. Been in club scene. Had many bikes currently have 2010 Harley v rod muscle, best bike I have ever owned or ridden for that matter. Had a 68 Lightning but found it difficult to keep running. Like that old cop bike Louis. Like the custom bikes but wouldn’t be able to ride them here, too many sharp corners and roundabouts. Many stock Victory’s, Indians and Harley Soft Tails scrape badly here. The extreme front ends on bikes here are mainly show bikes that get trailered from show to show. Cheers Phil

Aloha Sir,
I have been riding since I been around .... 11 years old. I still have one of those that they call a ...... ( Honda Nifty Thrifty Fifty ) sort of like a Moped that is all stock and runs great. I like Bikes but being tall I do't own most stock ones. I have to have them .........Long and Low for my riding doings. I build everything that I can and then send parts to be ...Chromed or Buy or Polish them. I still have a few of them but on the other Island at a friends home and he rides them occasionally to keep them going. I have had a few Bikes I entered in shows here and got good results for them. My last one was as long or longer then a Mustang Car. I have Friends in the ...... U.S.A. that have Shops and do Custom Work so it is not difficult for me to get parts if needed and many of them do Show Bikes also. Glad to have conversation with you Sir, Aloha Louis

Well . . . . sort of!
I'm the original owner of an '86 FXWG (Wide Glide). Sadly, it's been sitting for a number of years and needs a bit of work. Needs a clutch and a starter as well as an overall wake up from hibernation. It's got 23K original miles. Had a cam, S&S Super G and pipes put on it. Pretty darn fast! It's kept in a closed garage so it's only a bit dusty.
This is what it looked like in '86 - factory brochure:
This is a pretty rare bike. Came out of the factory with Candy Burgundy base with Candy Red flames. My understanding is that each dealer got one of the flamed version (there was also a black with wing and ball on the tank version. This is the last of the 4 speed, kick start Harleys.
Mine looks a lot like this:

Nice ride CevelleSS , Just some TLC and you going again. If it was mine here …….. I would have stripped long ago...….. and it would be a Chopper by now.

Aloha Yes but they are still cycles to enjoy. Every one has a different taste but all can be fun. Nice to see different models and types of bikes. Louis

It's too rare of a bike to make it into a chopper. There are a million soft tails out there that you could hack away at with no regrets. They're a dime a dozen.

I had a Raleigh Chopper as a kid . . . . wish I had it now . . . . worth a bunch of money. So are the Schwinn Orange Crates. Who would have thought?

The flames on those wide glides were hand painted so each one is unique. Most of these young blokes today would shit their pants trying to kick start that old glide. Possibly the best motor they ever made. Cheers Phil
