I enjoy my seatouch it’s quirky functional and accurate. I don’t wear it often but usually crack a smile when I do. Issue. Needed new battery. Changed the battery. Realized the pressure sensor had muck on it- cleaned it a little but realized the muck was probably failing silicone and would be reasonable to get a pressure test. Left it for a few months and sent it for a test. First quote. $395 replace seals, pressure sensor, movement, hands (noted oxidization on movement suggestive of water damage) plus 2 year warranty. Emailed back. Is there any way of a partial service the watch is working well. Second quote. $295 for everything above plus discount for loyalty. Still not too sure what to do- asked how much to replace sensor and seals no warranty. Third quote $250 replace sensors and seals no warranty. So now the question. Do I 1- accept the $295 service and get my crazy sea touch back. 2- have the watch returned and sell as working failed pressure test. Opinions appreciated.

get it fixed, with warranty.
rationale:
They've offered you a good discount. The additional $45 for the warranty is peanuts against the $250 for the work and will give you peace of mind etc.
You clearly like the watch, and its a nice watch.

It does detract from the pending Arnie fund. But it is an unusual watch, unlikely to see on anyone else anywhere, ever.... guess I just have to save up or share another piece to the eBay market.

Don't know how rare it is, but the Arnie is not. Save your Tissot! BTW, are these AUD?

Bugger. Is there any way you can source the seals etc and do it yourself? Perhaps the fellow that you've ordered your Arnie through can order the parts?

I’m with the others here - fix it. Face it - you’re basically getting a new watch for your money if they’re replacing the movement, seals, hands and pressure sensor. And with warranty.

Wise advice Mr.Jones it’s not rare by any means. It’s just unlikely I will ever see it on anyone else. The price is Aussie so not extraordinary. tritto it’s swatch group so the parts are going to be like hens teeth. I’ve seen this part listed on eBay for $180-200 many moons ago for the extra pricing I’d be best to get the watch going with a warranty as suggested. Thanks for the advice gents.
