Just back home after a long day and changed from ArSol to this one. Hard to photograph though, took me about ten attempts!

Again. it looks very nice. I've always been curious about those Indian HMT. they look great (sometimes) but what are they really worth? what is your opinion? I read the movement was licensed by citizen. does it keep good time? I have actually worn it very little. It keeps reasonably good time. It came to me as a prize in a WS anniversary raffle. As I understand it, Citizen helped HMT set up a factory around the end of WWII and licensed them to make a handwind movement that was excess to their needs, throwing in the needed machine tools.

I read the movement was licensed by citizen. does it keep good time? l10n3l these HMT watches mostly have Citizen 0201 manual wind movements in them. They are/were made on tooling sold to them by Citizen. The movements should work as well as the Citizen branded ones since they are all the same. The only differences would be movement plate finishes and any stamping that HMT put on them. Mikey's watch was one of the last produced by the factory before it closed down a few years ago. His is a special edition; one of 100 which was apparently the last batch out the door. I have a couple of older HMT watches with the Citizen 1801 hand wind movement and one with the Citizen 65xx series automatic. All are well made and as good as the originals sold by Citizen movement. It is a shame that HMT went under because they were a source of very reasonably and excellent quality priced watches.

I've always like the offerings from Wenger...even more so than stuff from Victorinox
