So I was in COSTCO today and had to look in the watch case. Sadly, no Seikos but ran across a Glycine Combat watch that looked pretty nice. Priced at $289 (IIRC). HUGE picture below courtesy of Ashford.com.
So . . . My questions are . . . . is this a good brand? Quality? Reliability? Good deal? Couldn't get the bezel to turn . . . should I be concerned or just a sample issue? I like the style of the watch and it felt pretty substantial.
This would be my first foray into the dark side . . . . LOL!!!
I had a vintage Glycine Airman 24 hour dial in my military collection that I sold (see below for reference). They were used in combat during Vietnam. So I have a soft spot for them. Solid Swiss brand. Can't go wrong with it given the sub $300 price point. If it speaks to you and you have the cash burning a hole in your pocket; by all means take the plunge. "Dark Side" be damned.
I've been eyeballing some Zodiac models myself that I need to see in person.
I'm in Jersey so if if it's at Willowbrook, I may beat you AND HiBeat! Kidding!

I dig Glycines. I bought a Combat Chronograph with a tan dial a year or so ago, but had to send it back because it was ENORMOUS. I still want an Airman Purist in 36mm.
