I've always wanted a nice Stowa like this.
Do you have a Lew and Huey?

Chris aka DocVale did fashion some of his watches after Stowa hallmarks. His Lew and Huey lines are pretty unique and good looking, if not a little reminiscent of many Swiss icons.

I thought your reference to Lew & Huey was in my reference to Huey Lewis whose group was The News which sounds like Lew, ya know. All joking aside, those Lew & Huey offerings are pretty cool especially the Phantom and the Orthos.

I understand that many folks didn't like that an older gentleman was hitting the top of the pop charts but music is music

Ever since I returned to this hobby a little over a year ago, I've felt the need for a different kind of fix. It started with a Weiss but while I waited, I scored a Gerlach P50 and an Orient Defender to tide me over. Then I latched on to a SRP773 and a SRPC41 for a boost. That kept my itch in check until I looked across the Atlantic and well, what can I say.....I overdosed! This is the latest which arrived today and duty free I might add. And yes, it's a handaufzug which is harder to spell let alone pronounce than most pharmaceuticals. Thanks fer lookin' boys and now it's time to exorcise a certain Huey Lewis tune from my brain... Aloha Sir, Russ I like this one and it looks so clean too and the Dial looks really settled on it I am not really a White Dial Watch guy but this one is quite big and the Dial lay out does not look wide spread and not all over the watch face. It has a sort of a slight Military look to it also. Those Hands looks really stream line and I like that Big Crown also. The case match's all of it and Lugs look uniform for it. Heck I would wear it with no problem. But over all you made a good choice and I would say it is worth it's weight for itself. Louis

Nice looking Stowa! I love their new Marine Classic 36mm. And I especially love that they offer almost all of their models in a hand wind version. However, in my personal experience, Seikos have always been a gateway drug for... more expensive Seikos.

I completely understand your move to try other brands. We all got our fix on Seikos but now I tend to look at other micros or whatever appeals to me..The MWW homage to the SuS I got from a trade with a engineer in Dubai for my baby G! It is titanium, sapphire crystal with the NH35. My traded SINN 103 TESTAF, Squali diver, multiple Omega prebonds.....all are fun to wear. Now, I have an itch to trade for a German Tutima chrono field watch quartz....

I have an affinity towards vintage Seiko's but this has also lead me down the path of Stowa. Absolutely in love with it! Those heat blued hands are amazing! Here's mine:
