This 42mm quartz diver popped up for sale and for some reason it seems familiar. I can't quite put my finger on why π Has anyone seen one like it before? Fake, mash up, or Seiko selling parts to the Swiss?

Looks like a Heuer and a Seiko had a wild, drunken night of passion and 9 months later this was the result.

Seiko did in fact supply TAG and a few others with ebauches and such but the question here is the hand set. Looks very much like someone dropped in Seiko hands.
That said most ETA quartz hand holes are 70/120/20 so I donβt know how Seiko hands would fit onto a Swiss movement, leading me to think they are homage to Seiko styling but of Swiss manufacture.
No matter what I like the package !

Turns out it's actually a current model. A search on Olympic 2741 will turn up a couple of websites. Has a Rhonda quartz inside. Bastard homage son of a Seiko-Tag one night stand, as Don says.

Ugh. At least no one will try to ram this terrible dial into a 6309.
