As I’m sure everyone will agree, a new strap can be the catalyst to an old favorite end back on your wrist much more regularly. At $15 USD for the tropics these straps from Cheap Nato Straps have exceeded all my expectations. ($10 for parachute) The Tropic sport style is very soft and prob my favorite so far. The Waffle is a tiny bit stiff but appears to be molding in the few minutes I’ve worn it. Interestingly it will only fit lugs that have a straight case edge. The vintage tropic is soft and light. Unlike the vintage ones you may have, the edges are not abrasive. I like the vintage buckle too. The Parachute I think suits the Arnie. The logo is pretty cool too. I’m pretty impressed the order got to me in a week with free shipping. Cost me a total of $90 usd for 4 tropics and a parachute. They had a 20% discount when you bought 5. Secret Santa may have sent a strap to another Seiko enthusiast... Should you want to make an order, If you mention that you were referred from Wrist Sushi, they will have no idea what your talking about, because I didn’t ask for a kick back. www.cheapestnatostraps.com/Thanks for reading. Loving the one on the 6105. Price is tough to beat, too!

Call me impulsive but I said...what the heck and bought some cheap straps from cheapestnato. I have no great expectation on the leather but just the fact that they have 19mm XL straps is worth checking out. Hard to find 19mm mass produced leather for less than $$$. Really curious about a $5 G10. Again, 19mm is impossible to find. It will be interesting to try it on my 6105 and not have to struggle to pull it through the lugs. ~$40 after the discount. How could this go wrong?

I have purchased most of my nato straps from her. Just a heads up the leather ones suck terribly. Cheap crap.

I have purchased most of my nato straps from her. Just a heads up the leather ones suck terribly. Cheap crap. Agreed. I've ordered a few straps from her as well. The two-piece natos are nice, but the leather strap I ordered from her was one of the crappiest pieces of leather (if you can even call it that) that I've ever seen. With NATOs, I don't think price determines quality. I mean, it's just a piece of nylon. How much different can the quality be? But for leather, the "Buy cheap, buy twice" axiom definitely applies. Good to hear that her tropic straps are decent quality. I like the vintage tropic. Might give it a try.

Got an email from that store that she’s getting killed because of the virus and offering sales with extra 20% discount and free shipping with 5 straps.
I just bought 5 straps including 2 tropics for my Bulova Devil Diver reissue. The 19mm ones I wanted were sold out.

Thanks for the heads-up. I have been looking for something to put my newly-acquired vintage Citizen 200m quartz diver on, and one of these should work nicely.
Eight Tropic clones for $50 shipped is a pretty good deal...even if they suck!

Hey Cam, is that a 20mm wedged on there? I tried to get a 19mm for my 6105 but they were out. It sorta looks like maybe yours is a 20mm?

suntzu it’s a 20mm but the tropic sport is very soft and pliable fits easily. The waffle is light but not as soft it would require a mod. longbike I’ve had no issues. I’ve got it set tight enough that you have to stretch the band just a little with the parachute. I wonder if it’s because I’m using it on lighter watches. The it’s currently in a tissot titanium

Thanks! It is a 3802-451732. Dates to 1988.
I found it on YJ by accident. I am a fan of Seiko 38-series quartz watches, and "Seiko 3802" is one of the things I search for. This Citizen 3802 came in a Seiko box, which confused the seller. So it was listed as a "Seiko 3802".

When I see a watch like this, I start thinking I could be a two-watch guy: the quartz diver for daily wear, and a thin quartz dress watch for the rare occasion when I wear a suit. Then, in about a week's time, I'll be trawling the Web for an SKX007, etc.

I put a chrono, a diver, and a couple dress watches on my nightstand thinking, "Okay, these will be what I wear MOST of the time." But it never works out that way...
