Got my straps. The one on the 6105 is supposed to be on the Devil Diver but despite supposedly 20mm, one part is 19mm. Crap quality control but great strap for the money! Fits beautifully on the 6105. The other tropic went on the Devil Diver instead. That measured fine. Also got a couple NATOs for it as well and any other 20mm watch I have. Outside of the quality control I can’t complain for the overall quality of the look, material, fit and finish. I think they look nice. Especially for the clearance price.

I went back and bought 5 more various silicone straps in different looks and colors. Basically all of them I didn’t have minus the chocolate bar.
An additional 20% off and free shipping. I got out of there for like $30!
With eating lunch at home now, I can afford it! 😆
Saw a cool tip on YouTube for softening them up with molding them to an inside of a coffee mug, pouring near boiling water on them and allowing to sit, then follow with cold water.

Got an email from that store that she’s getting killed because of the virus and offering sales with extra 20% discount and free shipping with 5 straps. I just bought 5 straps including 2 tropics for my Bulova Devil Diver reissue. The 19mm ones I wanted were sold out.
Thanks for the heads-up. I have been looking for something to put my newly-acquired vintage Citizen 200m quartz diver on, and one of these should work nicely.
Eight Tropic clones for $50 shipped is a pretty good deal...even if they suck!
I had almost given up hope on getting these straps, but they finally arrived today. Definitely worth the money.

Glad you got them. Yeah, can't beat the price. And decent quality too. Shipping is slow but I've always gotten mine.
Is that your Saab? My first car was a 1987 Saab 9000S, second year of that model. I hated it so much that I loved it. It's looks were stunning, handled beautifully, but sucked ass on power, and ALWAYS in the shop for something...ALWAYS. Parts I never heard of before on a car would need replacing I remember trying to make a turn at 20mph and the steering rack giving out and nearly crashing into a house. But in high school, it was a cool ride.
Had a great mechanic. He was a master Saab mechanic who opened up his own garage fixing Saabs only. He finally bought mine from me because he serviced it and I kept it washed and waxed.

Hey, is that your SAAB in the background? Cool cars they are. Got my first one 20 years ago and didn't own anything else since. At the moment it's a 9000CSE from '97 and a 900i from '92. ...and a 900 Turbo 16S from 1985. Didn't drive any of them in the last five weeks though...

Yep, it is a 2004 9-3 Arc convertible. I actually saved it from the crusher! A guy put it on Craigslist because it had an unspecified engine problem he didn't want to deal with. He said if he didn't get any offers it was going to be scrapped. I made him an offer and towed it home.
These cars are notorious for coil pack failures, and I could tell when I picked it up that it was only running on three cylinders. Figured it would be an easy fix! Got the car home, and sure enough the #1 coil pack was bad. Unfortunately, the #1 spark plug had also worked loose...and stripped the spark plug hole out.
Once I put a Heli-coil in it, all was well. It had a lot of the problems you would expect from a 15-year-old, mostly General Motors-designed, pseudo-luxury car, but I am slowly getting them worked out. I can't call the car unreliable...just 'quirky'. I occasionally get a random warning that the Traction Control System has failed. The power mirrors have NEVER worked despite my best efforts. And when the weather gets hot the alarm will go off ALL...THE...TIME. Even when the system isn't even armed, and even when I am driving!
I just ordered a General Motors Tech2 clone, and should be able to deal with any problem it has from now on. It is just a summertime cruiser, and I only drive it from April to September. The rest of the year it is a 'garage queen'.
Still haven't taken it out of the garage this year (thanks, COVID), but here is a pic from the day I brought it home.

Not to hijack and turn this into a car thread but I had always been a fan of Saab, always quirky. About the time I was in a position to buy, the company was going out of business, so buying something so expensive (for me), knowing I'd be on my own for the most part repairing I never took the plunge...

Saab stopped producing cars in 2011, and even nearly a decade on parts are pretty easy to get. What isn't available on a 10-year-old Saab would probably be difficult to get on any other 10-year-old car as well. Cadillac dealerships can perform whatever repairs are necessary. In fact, I got a recall notice last summer for the seat belts instructing me to take the car to any Cadillac dealership for the work to be performed.
The engine in these cars is used in other General Motors cars, and a lot of the electrical systems were pirated from other General Motors cars as well.
Wish I had been in a position to buy one of these back in 2008!

Well at least they still make awesome fighter jets! I'm hoping Canada buys 'em

You reminded me, I had also got in on this deal and ordered some on 3/21. Totally forgot. I looked back thru email and did receive a ship notification on 3/28, so I'm sure they will show up eventually. But dangit, now after reading through this I think I need a Saab....

I run a Saab 9-5t 2.3 estate, and have had no trouble (so far!). It’s great on a long run, and is incredibly comfortable. Spares are pretty plentiful, and are actually owned by the Swedish government, so, as long as you seek out a Saab ‘guru’ to service your car regularly, all parts are still available (mine is a 2006 model, so gets serviced regularly, and the service book has all of it’s stamps, so I like to keep that up!) Only drawback in the Uk at least, is it costs more to tax annually than to insure! I love it! Also, the Chinese, who bought the company, are now making fully electric 9-3s (NEVS)..... But, back on topic, those straps look to be unbeatable value!😀
