Hello, ive been into watches for about 5 years (most of my posts on the watch forum uk as nigelp) recently my interest has become focused on vintage Seiko. My current collection includes a 1970 7005 8040, 1971 6119 7083, 1974 6139 'Helmet', 1974 7019 5000 'Baby Monaco', 1976 7006 7080 'Batman', A Bell Matic 17j which im expecting today, a 1975 QZ quartz 0920 8000, a 1975 King Quartz 4822 8000 and a 1977 Lord Quartz asphalt dial which ive got arriving from Japan shortly. I came across the forum after watching a couple of videos on youtube presenting a 'vintage watch collection' (copied below).
My interests also include Cars mainly classic ones and I live in North Wales in the UK. Most of my watches are ebay finds and i enjoy cleaning them up and some light restoration like polishing crystals. I tend to leave cases with full wabi now as ive polished them in the past and regretted it. I'll share some photos. Cheers Nigel.
this is the video that alerted me to the forum, hope i got the right forum, but this looks a fun one in any case! Best regards Nige.

Welcome Nigel. There's nothing so satisfying as polishing a beat up crystal to perfection, is there.

Croeso Nigel! My mother’s family originally came from Flintshire (miners, unsurprisingly...) but moved to North Staffs way back when. I’m down in East Kent now. We’ll soon have that collection of yours well into double figures Plenty of good folk on here, you’ve found the best place on the ‘net for Seiko fun

Welcome Nigel! Over in Berkshire myself, every time I go to Wales it bloody rains so you’ll probably thank me for not coming much these days!
Nice collection. I suspect it may be about to go through a growth spurt!
