Congratulations Bertrand ! I will have to wait a few more weeks for mine to arrive.
Just to confirm - does the outer black bezel rotate as you would expect it to by looking at it ?

By the way, I asked a local Aussie jewellery chain store that carries a reasonable range of Seiko (although nothing high end) if they could look up the non-JDM models for price and availability. Computer said no, even with specific model numbers. No luck with the SARX numbers either. Oddly the opposite is true at the Seiko Boutique in NYC. He has access to watches 6R series and above, but he is locked out of anything 4R or 7S or such !

Tritto The Seiko Boutique in Sydney is advising a retail price of $1300 AUS but they are not certain if they will receive an allocation Seiya Japan currently have all 3 colours for sale. Bundy

Just to confirm - does the outer black bezel rotate as you would expect it to by looking at it? It's a bi-directional rotating bezel which rotates freely, without any clicks: Oddly the opposite is true at the Seiko Boutique in NYC. He has access to watches 6R series and above, but he is locked out of anything 4R or 7S or such! Yes, they segment their ADs the other way as well, depending on the target audience - the Seiko Boutique in London did not carry any Seiko 5s or SKXes (though that may have changed with the launch of the new SEIKO 5 SPORTS range that Seiko are promoting heavily - I haven't been there since they were launched), and only quartz watches in the Premier range and above - I don't think they have Kinetics, or very few - whereas jewellery stores and department stores you find in shopping centres do carry the old Seiko 5s, standard cheaper quartz watches which aren't under any of their global brands (ASTRON, PROSPEX, PRESAGE, Premier, Grand Seiko, CREDOR), Kinetics, etc.. I think they don't want things in price ranges which are too different from each other to be in the same store.

Bundy I was hoping that if I got it through the local AD that I might be able to wrangle the usual 20% discount, bringing it to just over $1k. There's another store here that has some presage models so perhaps I'll see what they have to say.

Hi Jon, many thanks for your kind comments๐๐ฅ. Yes the outer black bezel rotate as I expected and very smoothly & qualitatively. It's done in nice black metal brushed finish, with a very nice section as the original " circle dial" version ๐๐ฅ
