thanks! All great information! Where would I go about locating a new crystal and insert? The only place I know for the inserts is seikomania on eBay, but I haven't seen him selling any for a while. The crystals are eyewateringly difficult to source, I really have no clue where to find one. I was lucky as when I bought my watch it came with a NOS crystal. I have heard that the 320W10GN (6105's) fits and looks pretty similar but it isn't as tall as the citizens. If you have one in the parts drawer it would be interesting to see if it does. If seikomania doesn't get any inserts in stock in the future I may be able to help, my watch came with 2 replacement inserts and I passed the spare on to a fellow collector but not sure he's used it yet. Looks like I'm in the market for an insert!

Spencer
I sent my friend an email regards a Crystal and insert is there anything else you may need. He has many spares both new and used but as you can imagine can be reluctant to let anything go as he has 5 vintage Citizen divers and uses the parts for his collection. He's a good guy and friend so we'll see.
Let me know what else you may need. Case parts, movement parts, ECT.
Cheers Mark

Thanks Mark!
The watch is actually good but for that. Case is excellent, movement is excellent, dial & hands are perfect. I think the insert is the most important thing right now, if you can come up with one. Thanks!

That's a CLASSIC that doesn't seem to get the acclaim it deserves (outshone by Seiko) Great stuff Spencer, looking forward to seeing the finished product:-)

That's a CLASSIC that doesn't seem to get the acclaim it deserves (outshone by Seiko) Great stuff Spencer, looking forward to seeing the finished product:-) Well, we're getting closer! some great stuff happened - talked to Seikosis in the UK and while he didn't have any inserts listed on eBay, he had two available for a really crazy low price for both, so I bought both. They just arrived today. Not having an original to compare with I can't say how exact they are, but it's an improvement over nothing. Which is what I had before. The next big stroke of luck was finding that a mystery crystal I had in my drawers fit this watch like it was made for it. Why I would have a Citizen crystal is anyone's guess, but it fits. Looks to be the right height, the bezel snapped down, the seals are in place, and it clears the rotating ring insert. Lastly, somehow I got this watch for a serious bargain price but the case / dial / hands / movement are in excellent shape, and as far as I can tell, original. I think I got it for what I did because the insert and crystal were clearly wrong. Now I just want to get one of the oyster bracelets & endlink sets for sale on eBay, and I think we'll be complete. What's amazing to me about this watch is not just the build quality and current condition, but the original lume still will hold a glow overnight. Amazing.

cheering-clapping-smiley-emoticon A lovely watch & it looks a hundred times better than it did. I'd love to get a couple of old Citizen diver's but have always been put off by the lack of new parts. I'm sure these would be more popular if there was a good source of quality a/m bits.

That turned out beautifully Spencer, congratulations! Yours has the same repro insert as mine and the only difference between it and the original is the original triangle at 12 is ever so slightly smaller, they really are an excellent copy.
