Hello all
Thanks for the invite, I’m looking forward to learning and sharing with you all.
I grew up around watches. I probably took it for granted for a long time. My father and grandfather were both watchmakers, and I remember from a young age watching dad work on watches. Some of my earlier memories are the sound of the old timing machine and looking at various tools on his workbench. I went a different path with my career but have always maintained an interest in watches, and slowly built a small collection for myself. Mostly Seikos with a few Swiss pieces in the mix.
Since dad passed away I have found myself taking a stronger interest in the workings of watches. I inherited a small assortment of tools and am enjoying tinkering with some old pieces just to see how they work. It’s something I have felt drawn to of late.
Thanks again.
J

Welcome to the forum! Glad you've found us. Plenty of knowledgeable members to use as a crutch in your watch tinkering.

Welcome aboard Justyn! Plenty of tinkerers of all levels here as well as professional watchmakers too, it’s a great place to learn and test your skills mate. Whereabouts in the world are you? And some pics of a few watches would be good, we like Swiss too by the way!

I too have the Seikos and Swiss mentality but really only talk Seikos here on WristSushi.\
WELCOME and be ready to be pulled out by the Riptide of Seiko WISdom.

Pip, I’m from Sydney Australia. Not sure how I add photos, will see if I can work it out! Beautiful place. To add photos if you are using a computer, they will need to be hosted somewhere like imgur or flickr, you then copy the link and click the photo button above the text input area and paste in the link. There's a tutorial somewhere on the general section I think.
