Apparently this SRPB43J1 is known as either the “Ice Blue” or “Sky Diving” cocktail time. Currently on a generic blue leather strap as the patent black leather deployment it came on has to be one of worst straps I’ve ever seen from SEIKO. Enjoy your day folks.

I went modern(ish) today with this one: November '94 6M15-0020 World Timer 'magic hands' still on its original Seiko leather strap.

That's a great dress watch. I have that in the original SARB with the 6R15 and let me tell you, that strap is beyond awful. You're 1,000% correct. It's one of the biggest pieces of tacky crap I've ever come across and to be honest, Seiko makes some awful leather straps. So that's saying something. You've upgraded it ten fold with the one you put on.
I have mine on a EULIT MESH bracelet which is not expensive. It's a massive improvement and a real quality piece with an expensive looking fit and finish. Sturdy, perfect thickness, solid clasp mechanism. It lays beautifully on the contours of the wrist and doesn't sag, twist or make noise. I highly recommend it if you want to think about stainless as it really compliments that dial and adds to that "ice" and "sky" theme. In the sun it looks really awesome. Here's a couple quick shots.

Don't be afraid to clean around the bezel Great case lines and original bracelet. That series is my favorite reference.
