Aloha ,
I want to ... Up Date This News about .... The State Of Hawaii ....Lock Down here. If not the right appropriate place ....( Admin's. Please Move ).
Ok here we go : The State of Hawaii has made another... Extended Lock Down ...for another Month as of yesterday and may be going into .... The Next Month for 2-3 more weeks, they have not mentioned that extra .... 2-3 extra weeks ... Month after next yet.
Now to all ....... Tourist and Visitors planing any Trips to Hawaii this is the ..." New Regulation Law " , they have made here. NOTE : If you come here by way of ... Airlines or Boat Cruises .... " You will still have to ... " Provide Your Own Transportation To Your Designated Hotel Yet ".
Now this is the ....... New Staying In Protection Rules : Once you arrive at ...Your Hotel Destinations or Family if so, you will ..... "Have to stay Quarantined for .... 12 to 14 days in and cannot even go to a ..... Store or Place to Visit. You will have to ... Provide all your Total Hotel Services from The Hotel itself. This has been because they have ... Slacked the Lock Down but many have taken it for granted and have not followed .... The Local State Enforced Rules Here. This was caused by ... ( People That Live Here and .... Some Visitor already ), so .... It Effects Everyone now in Hawaii.
If you are .... To Visit Here ... it will be quite hard to get around or do things because of this new ruling. There are no .... Car Rentals Opened now or Taxi Services also. Most Tourist and Business Places are still ... Closed Down Yet. You will be able to go to Super Markets, Drive Through Fast Food Places ..... but no ..... Open Restaurants yet.
I Hope this helps anyone coming here in the near future.
Aloha and Thanks for looking into this ,

Sounds completely nuts to me. Last I looked Hawaii had only 639 cases and 17 deaths.
I can understand not wanting outsiders or tourists coming in, but shutting the economy down for that is ridiculous.
This flu on steroids sure has Governors going on power trips.......

But another way of looking at it is “there’s only 639 cases and 17 deaths BECAUSE everything is shut down and everyone is home”

I think Sweden is showing the rest of the world may have lost their minds. Also 66% of positive News York City cases are from sheltering at home. I'd rather take my chances living life rather than being forced to stay home.

My parents have been home since the last week in February and have not stepped foot anywhere in public except to walk in the park.
My 79 year old dad has not had a sense of taste or smell in 2 months. He complained of sinus issues and was prescribed an antibiotic and nose spray thinking it was a sinus infection. That failed. Next came two more nose sprays. That failed. Next came a round of Prednisone to hopefully knock it out. That failed. Doctor now wants him to get a COVID test since no taste or smell are symptoms. But he has no other symptoms and feels fine except this nagging sinus "clogginess." He may have had/has COVID and this is his only symptom. Never suffered any sinus issues or allergies in the past. My mother is fine.
If this ain't a kick in the pants, my elderly 70+ year old aunt tested positive for COVID. She lives in a hospital because she's severely mentally ill, wheelchair bound and has COPD (very, very sad lifelong story). Every resident was tested. We figured it was her death sentence given her comorbidities. Believe it or not, she was totally asymptomatic and went the 14 days plus without a single symptom. She dodged a bullet, but was silent carrier/spreader.
This whole thing is absolutely insane and the politics being played by the sociopaths that "run" our governments, the collapse of the global economy, the devastation wreaking havoc, makes for one giant Black Swan cluster phuck whose outcome is totally uncertain. I fear this is key to the kingdom on a silver platter for those in power who relish more government control of what we do, say, think, and are told to believe. But, I for one, feel so relieved to hear that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will chair a task force for Joe Biden's campaign on climate change. This is the fresh, young, educated, experienced, rational based expertise we need guiding our country. Hopefully more of her ilk will step forward under the throne of Biden and take the reins to guide me on the sociopolitical Cultural Revolution path to enlightenment.

But your statement “i’d rather take my chances living life rather than being forced to stay home” IMHO is very selfish. Yes you may be healthy, your wife and kids, and you have 0.0000000001% chance of dying when infected. No risk to you or your family at all. Even so, that does not mean you are not contagious. What about the people that you will come into contact and infect? Can you guarantee they have the same low risk as you? If you were sick with anything else (measles, pox, ebola, hiv, pneumonia etc etc) and you are aware you are, would you intentionally go around coming into contact with people, knowing they may not be immune? Scenario: Let’s say you get covid. But you’re healthy, so you don’t even know. Then you meet 4 friends for coffee/drinks. Know all 5 of you have covid. But you’re all healthy, so all 5 doesn’t know. One of your friends go home to his elderly parent. Another opened the apartment lobby door for another elderly neighbor. Another went to another part full of “healthy” individuals, but with elders at home. Sure we young ones are healthy and not affected. But what about the people around us.

Life is a risk each time you walk out the door, and let's be real, germs are everywhere and always have been, and always will be. This whole you need to stay home to protect others is just a way to guilt you to buy in to the hype as far as I'm concerned. If people want to bubble wrap themselves from life then they should stay home. I'll bet the vast majority of people worldwide feel just as I do. I'm 60, healthy and probably in better shape than most 40 year olds. Never had the flu, never even had a flu shot. It's been decades since I've missed a day of work from being sick. Unless it's some mandatory law you have to get one I won't be getting a COVID vaccine either. What I am more worried about is the collateral damage to people and businesses this shutdown is causing. What concerns me the most is Government exerting control. If you've never heard of the Rockefeller Foundation, Google the Rockefeller Document 2010. It's a 54 page PDF file of various scenarios done 10 years ago. I find page 18 called "Lock Step" eerily similar to what's happening worldwide now.
